Off Limits® are an events company established over 20 years ago, based in Nottingham, We are a leading events company organising corporate events, Hen and Stag parties, It's a Knockout and Multi Activity days just to name a few. As you can imagine with so many areas of the business, we also have quite a few brands, websites and projects to work on and are always looking for enthusiastic, creative, bright souls to join our team.

Business Development Executive

This position is aimed at increasing the business that we receive from Direct Clients, Hotels and Agents throughout the UK.

The individual who is appointed to this role will be responsible for developing new accounts in this sector and will be targeted to achieve results as part of the on-going growth of the business.

In addition, some existing accounts will become the responsibility for you to develop further.

The individual appointed will have to be self-motivated with excellent administration skills. Character, flare and passion will also be essential for this person to excel within the role.

Responsibilities include:
  • Identifying Clients, Hotels and Agents that have potential business
  • Contacting the above with a view to trying to meet and discuss further, the possibilities of working together
  • Achieving a yearly target of increased sales within the Corporate Division of the company
  • Working with the Corporate Team to ensure that service levels are met
  • Attending appointments to discuss the services of Off Limits® Group– Target 12 appointments per week – based on an average of 4 days on the road and 1 day in the office
  • Presenting to potential Clients, Hotels and Agents
  • Developing a call plan for all accounts to ensure that regular contact is made for updates on events and to ensure the client is happy with service levels
  • Documenting sales achieved in order to identify areas for further development
  • Attending exhibitions and client/agent events
  • Ensuring that regular email campaigns are sent to the accounts
  • Communicating with the Corporate Team to ensure regularly updated on the business received from accounts
  • Updating the Corporate Team on agreements made with Hotels/Agents so that they are aware of the clients that have agreed to work
  • Constantly monitor business placed at hotels as part of the venue finding we do to help identify sales opportunities
  • Keep an eye on any Marketing/PR opportunities and bring to our attention

The appointed individual will spend 2 weeks in the office at the start of their role in order to understand the enquiry process and range of events. In addition they will be required to attend events with the team so that they can experience the events first hand and gain valuable on-site training.

Location: Head Office Nottingham, based on an average of 4 days on the road and 1 day in the office

Our Event Crew are a massive part of who we are and what we do. They represent us out in the field and help us to deliver outstanding events time after time. We are now recruiting for the 2019 season including weekday and weekend work, therefore we are looking for energetic, outgoing and professional individuals to come aboard and join our incredible team of freelance staff.

As an Event Instructor based from our HQ in Nottingham, you will deliver a variety of tasks including set-up, pack-down, taking direction from your Event Manager, welcoming clients, or instructing one of our numerous activities while ensuring a high level of health and safety standards.

Our events are extremely varied and no two days will be the same. At times physical hard work and long hours will be needed, and we do expect our crew to be reliable, punctual and well organised. In return, though you will discover a rewarding and highly sociable role where fun, laughter and team spirit are at the top of our agenda.

Full training will be given and we provide mentoring and support to those individuals who would like to progress towards a permanent career within the events industry. Our rates of pay range from £70 a day minimum, dependent on skill set and experience.

We are now recruiting for our 2019 season for Saturday work in the following locations: Bristol, Brighton, Bournemouth and Manchester.

As an Event Manager based from our HQ in Nottingham, you will manage set-up, supplying and pack down of our events. On a typical day, this may involve driving to and from venues across the UK, managing a crew, unloading vehicles, setting up equipment, welcoming clients, and instructing one of our numerous activities. This is an exciting role to work with the number one events company in the UK.

Full training will be given and we provide mentoring and support to those individuals who would like to progress towards a permanent career within the events industry.

Our rates of pay range from a minimum of £110 per day.

Head of Events

We’re recruiting for an exciting Head of Events role and looking for an experienced events leader to join our expanding team. It’s an exciting opportunity where you’ll be required to deliver our team building and corporate events for clients in a professional and fun manner. Can you manage event mangers and staff effectively as well as possess the skill set to multi-task under pressure? Do you have the talent to influence individuals to step outside of their comfort zone safely, to encourage motivation, communication and team building? The candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills as well as previous leadership experience in a similar role. You will need to monitor events and activities effectively as well as implement relevant staff training and performance systems.

Essential Skills:
  • People management skills consistent with Overall management of all Events Managers and Events Staff
  • Ensuring the health, safety and welfare and enjoyable running of allocated events
  • To provide detailed project management of any Off Limits® corporate events requiring it from start to delivery
  • To overview all upcoming events providing immediate feedback of any issues to the relevant departments
  • Represent the Off Limits® Group at client meetings
  • Provide knowledge and information of all events and activities as required by all departments
  • Have a clear understanding on Implement and regularly review all events documentation such as SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and RA’s (Risk Assessments)
  • Provide training, guidance, advice and support to team members with responsibility for the delivery of events, and health and safety compliance
  • To implement monthly management meetings with a pre-planned itinerary
  • Regular monitoring and reviews of all allocated staff following the company policies
  • Develop and maintain relationships both internally (sales v operations) and externally (third party suppliers, including venues) to ensure the successful delivery of events
  • To utilise and improve any internal systems used within the role
  • To assist with the creation of new and the improvement of current events and activities
  • Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of what Off Limits® Events expects of event management team and to ensure adequate training CPD (Continual Personal Development) is monitored and implemented when required, needed or expected
